Stratum Med and Datavant Announce Partnership to create a Data Lake and Digitize Data Exchange

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 29, 2023 – Stratum Med, Inc., a physician-owned, physician-led collaborative comprised of prominent medical groups accounting for over 12,000 physicians across the country, and Datavant, the leader in securely connecting health data, have announced a partnership to create an industry standard data lake to enable operating efficiencies, minimize risk and generate virtuous use cases for identified and de-identified data sets.

Stratum Med organizations intend to implement Datavant’s technology and integrated services for Release of Information by leveraging Datavant’s ability to pull standardized electronic health record (EHR) data from over 60 EHR systems in a timely, secure and compliant manner. Using these connections to feed the standard data lake will also allow Stratum Med to take advantage of Datavant’s capabilities and ecosystem to bring in additional third party data in a de-identified manner to further increase patient insights.

The data lake, which Stratum will retain full control of, will provide Shareholders visibility to patient populations to expand value based care initiatives, increase risk predictability, improve clinical decision making and close care gaps. This clinical integration will also extend opportunities for closer connectivity to clinical trials and life sciences projects.
