Veradigm is now connected to Datavant Switchboard and is able to provide patient data for patient-authorized use cases that fall within the clinical research domain. Building a patient registry, confirming clinical trial eligibility, or conducting any type of observational research study are now projects supported through this new digital connection.
This expansion is part of Datavant’s mission to connect the world’s health data in a secure, compliant, and controlled way. Often data connectivity channels only allow access to data for payment audits, risk adjustment, or continuity of care, while excluding the ability to access the same data when a patient has requested that their data be shared.
This is a huge move in the direction of improving patient access to health data and supporting patient-centric healthcare.
