ATLANTA (Feb. 1, 2018) – Ciox, the nationwide leader in secure medical records management and exchange, announces W.B. “Mitch” Mitchell as the company’s new senior vice president, government solutions. Mitchell will lead the way for Ciox to continue developing services and organizational infrastructure that supports the healthcare information-retrieval needs for federal agencies and departments.
Mitchell brings more than 25 years of healthcare technology, strategy, government contracting, operations and leadership experience to Ciox. For more than 15 years, he served in several leadership roles at McKesson, most recently as vice president, federal solutions for RelayHealth (now Change Healthcare). There, he led teams that supported programs for the Defense Health Agency and Veterans Health Administration in their healthcare delivery transformation and health IT modernization efforts.
“Whether it’s in support of our men and women in uniform, veterans who have served our nation, scientists and researchers, social security beneficiaries or the broader population at large, I’m privileged to work with a team that leads the health information management industry and is on the forefront of bringing new and innovative solutions to our customers and partners,” Mitchell says.
Mitchell joins Ciox as the company positions itself for significant growth within the public sector, building upon extensive experience supporting complex health information management requirements for both commercial and government stakeholders.
“As we continue to serve customers across the healthcare continuum, Mitch’s experience in building partnerships and leading the development of healthcare and technology strategies to meet government stakeholder requirements will be invaluable,” says Ciox CEO Paul Roma.
