ALPHARETTA, Ga. – June 5, 2018 – Ciox, a leading health technology company, announces the general availability of the clinical data platform Ciox HealthSource. HealthSource further positions Ciox as a neutral intermediary in the industry, bringing an efficient and transparent exchange of clinical data to the healthcare ecosystem.
Designed from the ground up to solve the clinical data illiquidity challenge in U.S. health care, HealthSource uses the latest interoperability and artificial intelligence technologies as core platform services. This foundation enables HealthSource to both manage the flow of health information and give shape to structured and unstructured records.
“Technologies such as artificial intelligence are now table stakes for digital organizations, and they are true transformative forces for the healthcare industry,” says Paul Roma, Ciox’s CEO. “We believe that when clinical data can move easily and transparently between stakeholders that the entire health system works better, and most importantly, doctors and patients benefit.”
Along with the HealthSource platform, Ciox releases its first three core products to general availability: Clarity, Smart Chart, and Vault. Ciox HealthSource Clarity provides transparency into the release of information process within providers and health systems, giving visibility to who is requesting clinical data and securely delivering medical records to authorized requestors.
Clarity was designed in collaboration with providers and patients to ensure that the release of protected health information is performed accurately, securely, timely and with the understanding that every record represents a real person. Using the HealthSource platform services, Clarity enables the most efficient processing and greatest quality of service for health information management. The result is a clinical data exchange for information requests to support clinical revenue integrity for providers and improved satisfaction for patients.
Ciox HealthSource Smart Chart and Vault are designed for health plans, self-funded employers, life sciences companies and government agencies, which require broad access to clinical data across multiple departments and users. Smart Chart utilizes the latest in artificial intelligence and NLP technologies to identify and extract heath data from disparate medical records and supplemental data feeds to aggregate a patient’s medical history into a longitudinal digital profile, while Vault creates a unified patient and provider-centric data repository. Together, these products drive more powerful financial and clinical outcome-based models.
“We recognized an incredible void in the current health information landscape to integrate advanced and highly secured technologies into authorized medical data sharing operations,” says Roma. “This observation was the foundational design force behind the first generation of HealthSource. We are excited to lead the transformation of the costly and obsolete way health information is accessed and consumed today.”
